Feeling accomplished, many thanks to this board

Just thought I would share my sense of accomplishment with all of you. On Saturday I changed all rotors and pads on my wife's X5 and fixed a set of broken wipers with a new relay. (also a set of front pads on my 3 series) I was completely covered in grime and prouder than I have ever been!

I owe many thanks to this board and all of you who have made it possible for folks like me to keep BMWs in my family without going bankrupt.

The X is at just over 200,000 miles, the list of repairs is now multiple pages long, but thanks to you guys, an understanding wife, and the disire to get dirty from time to time, I still love it!

I'm in the same boat. Any time I talk to someone about my X5 and doing repairs to it, I never forget to mention this forum for advice and threads with pictures describing how repairs can be done.

Thanks everyone!!!

Amazing what a little communication and lots of elbow grease can accomplish!! I'll be doing my tranny fluid and filter this evening. It's this forum that is helping me save a boat load of money in labor costs. If I didn't or couldn't do most of the repairs and routine maintenance myself, I wouldn't be driving a BMW.

Thanks guys!!

Ok, can I have a group hug, now? 😝
