Elec folding mirrors

Hey guys,

I have to problems with my mirrors and it's really bugging me.

1st problem is that when I fold my mirrors in the driver side mirror does 3ticks? Like its slipping? But the mirror folds fully??

2nd problem is that my passenger mirrors glass has become loose all of a sudden? Ive tried to push it back assuming it would click in to place but no joy?

Please help it's upsetting me

It would help to know the model and year of your X. More info. the better.

You'll have to search harder for the clicking problem but here are some to help you get started. You'll probably need to do all of these eventually.

Removing/Replacing mirror glass:

Folding mirrors fold but retract right away:

Side mirror has play:

Good luck!

PS ... If I have time I'll try and look for the clicking fix. Meanwhile, please get more familiar with the search function.

Had that clicking on my passenger side recently and tried allsorts. Eventually sorted it by manually pressing in both mirrors before pressing the button. Also had a mate holding a mirror when the button was pressed. It makes an awful clicking noise when you do it but don't worry.
I think its because the two mirrors are slightly out of sync with each other and you're drivers side is being 'overly opened' ?

Cheers mate!

When you pushed in the mirrors did you do them 2gether? Or 1 by 1?

Sorry for the delay, been at work.

Either way, but 1 by 1 will probably identify which one is not right.

Hey RAZ666,
Did you fixed your problem? I'm having the same issue but can't get it to fix. Let me know if the trick from mcw543 works for your situation.

I have the clicking on my driver's side mirror when opening the mirrors up for use each morning. I'd like to fix the issue before it becomes a bigger issue...

So you hold the mirrors in towards the door and then push the button to close them? I'm confused as to the steps typed above...

Thanks for the help!
