I agree, it is way too crazy. My garage hit 95 yesterday. By the time I unloaded the X, and went up, I felt very well done.

Got a break from the heat yesterday so I got both done. Even had time to do the transfer case. A breaker bar came really handy....

Get the TC adaptations reset then. Makes a difference. I hope you used the BMW magic gold sauce for the TC.

$64 per QT for the transfer case fluid at the dealer... How do you do the TC adaptations reset? Do I need special equipment for that?

Yes you need to reset with GT1. Search transfer case adaptations, a bunch of us did it noticing a difference. Yes, transfer case needs the special magic dealer sauce. You can buy it online much cheaper. You need just a bit less than a quart. So buy 1. But it is special for the x-drive units, like a transmission with clutchpacks and all.

With reset adaptations, difference is slight, so if you absolutely can't get it reset, I don't think it will be the end of the world. Although BMW instructions say you must do it. So up to you.

Thank you. I may have to invest some money on a GT1 and learn some more. Thanks again!
