Thanks for your suggestions. I was thinking of replacing 1st three coils so I don't mix them up later but I will take your advise and replace the one's I am experiencing misfires on and just write down which I have replaced.

As I mentioned before, my engine runs great, it's just the problem when the car starts. Once it starts, I don't see any problems (except that I think it is using too much gas in the city driving, although I am not sure anymore. I did have another post about that. Since I drive slowly in the city, I would think I would get better mileage than 11 MPG in the city. I do get 21 MPG on the highway driving at 75-85 mph which is ok.)

I will let you know if the problem goes away once I replace the coils.

So update us. What have you done since the start of this post. Have you changed the coils? Has fuel filter been changed? Can you put original fuel pump in?

I changed 3 coils. My mechanic was not available to do the diagnostics so i changed 1st, 2nd and 5th coil. I remember the last time we checked, 5th cylinder had misfires. I will get the other 3 coils in a week or so.

Fuel filtet was changed last summer. Fuel pump at about the same time so i don't think it's the pump since i didn't have problems until now.

I will post an update once i change the other coils and try a different maf.

I reckon you might have a leaking lpg injector or a split vaporisor diaphragm, or a hairline crack in the vaporisor housing letting lpg collect in the inlet manifold flooding the engine. I would turn off the manual shutoff on the tank multivalve. Purge all the gas out the front end system and run it on petrol for a week or so and see how you get on.

Thanks Petrolhead. I will try that. I replaced some engine parts and suspected a bad maf because of lpg system. Lpg injectors (i think that's what they are called) were bad and caused bmw computer to go crazy. It was throwing errors left and right. Engine even went into safe mode. That was a while ago so i replaced them with better ones and all the problems were gone. I replaced the vaporisor last year too also with better one but i will have it checked after i try your suggestion.

My LPG mechanic is not in town for few days so I am waiting for him to tell me where is the manual shutoff valve. As soon as I perform the test, I will post an update here. I should also get the other 3 coils tomorrow and replace them in the evening so I will know the results of that in a couple of days.

it should be just inside the multivalve cover on the gas proof box, a small thumbscrew.
