Here is the piece that I don't know how to attach. Like I said I have no instructions for the leman flares. I kind of knew what to do but I don't want to start cutting etc and endup doing something wrong.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1345858860.272933.jpg

Like you see I took my wheel of to try to attach the far end of the arch in the rear. The kit has a template for me to stick on the rear bumper and make the right insertion.

When I took my wheel off and I think the wheel well cover (not sure of this what u call it) I looked behind and was confused how to continue. I know I'm supposed to use the template and make some insertion into my 3.0 rear bumper. But instructions from the manufacturer or someone in the forum would help.

Most 4.8iS that were shipped to Canada had these flares factory installed - so I wonder, if that is some kind of a Canadian fashion statement that the dealers are ordering them as part of the car or it is some part of the Canadian package that the BMW Canada considers Canadian deal, or whatever else it might be...

What can you tell us, our northern brethren?

Use the template they gave you but I would make a copy just in case. Then cut the slots per the template. Not sure what else you might need. If it doesn't have reatining clips (or even if it does) I would use something like black windshield caulk tio prevent it from popping out.

those slits/holes were already on mine, it is a pic of a 4.6iS... I think that template is the one that lets you cut those slits in the plastic body of a regular E53.

before cutting, make sure that everything is lined up perfectly, as the template might be off a bit...

Also do a search and you can ask for tips from people who installed the Special Edition Lemans Flares.

I know Pinoyako85 installed them. I'm sure he wouldn't mind giving you some tips. If you can make Bimmerfest he'll be there.
