Nah keeping it the way it is. Just gonna replace the bags and be done with it. Slick, do I need to code the X to tell it has new bags or should it recalibrate itself?

How much are you paying for the air bag struts. I found a place in Florida. $300 each after core return with lifetime warranty. I can get you that info if you need it.

We are prob talking about the same place, Arnott at Cape Canaveral. Same here I got it for $300, but I didn't see anywhere about a core. SO if I were to order is it for $400 ea with $100 core or $200 after core?

Arnott is the shit! for air bags. Got my struts replaced last year, 469 initially then they refund 100 for core charge. Just get the strut assemblies for 50 bucks more the just the front springs, its much easier than disassembling your struts and putting new bags on them.

Ride height holds perfect front and rear, but I may replace the rear bags with Arnotts too just because of age, but for now no sagging.

I replaced my compressor last night with a 38k mile OE unit from member "Papa13", it looks in great shape and he said it was bench tested by BMW mechanics and was in perfect working order.

Previous owner replaced the control module and had ride height coded in December, so I'm good with that.

Now I just got to make an appointment to see my local guy with a GT1 to clear my "pressure remains constant - accumulator filling requested" fault (from air compressor most likely) and I should have ride height working again!

Yea, sorry about that. I thought you were talking about the complete strut and bag assy. Not sure about the bags but the complete struts are $300 after the core return.

The invoice the seller gave me was $400 each and a $100 refund on return of core.

what generation is the BT module? I guess, the later, the better... bimmernav has a list of the part numbers for various generation BT units, yours might be an older one and the slick might have a newer one... mine is 12th gen (one step below last one), and I can change the volume, not by much, but still, I can hear the difference... Only during an active call though, just like slick said...

Now it is time to do some light modifications...

Here are three files for your review - one file is my original TRC file, as I got the car from a dealer. Then there is a MAN file, with some modifications already implemented, and then there is a PDF screenshot of the 9 differences that I have applied to my car:

I deleted the 1) gong when the key is left in the ignition, deleted the gong when the seat belt is not fastened for either, 2) the driver and/or 3) the passenger, 4) removed cold monitoring for the left parking light (I have LEDs for the Angel Eyes and the left one was flickering, not anymore), made the 5) front fog lights stay on when the high beams are engaged, activated the 6) rainsensitive sunroof from open position as well as 7) from tilt position, synchornized the 8) car clock to the GPS clock from the Navigation and deleted the 9) the front corner yellow lights.

By no means I am suggesting that you use my files for your car - you might end up with a dead something.

but, when you pull your own original file, you will know where to look for those entries to modify them, if you wish to do so...

Ttgtr, yes you need to calibrate height after spring instal. I know some have been fine without doing this, but you really should.

Terminator, that is awsome. Thanks.
