Oddly enough, I decided the troops plate was the way to go. Mostly because the plates just look cool, I don't even know anyone in the service. Gladly pay $30 per year for a good cause, though.

I do the same with Price of Honor Law Enforcement plates in NJ, no one is a cop in my family but a donation once of year to families of fallen officers killed on duty.
