Cabin filter change and Air Flow direction HELP
Hi all, I just replaced my cabin air filter but did not pay attention when removing the old one what was the airflow direction. I googled it and most results were to make sure I notice the direction when removing....well I did not. Another video was showing to put with arrows up, but another one with arrows down, so now I'm confused.
If someone knows, please tell me. Right now I left it with arrows pointing up. hope that is correct.

You might take a slim & narrow nozzle attachment, using your shop vac, and vacuum down in the cabin filter slot; every time I have changed mine there was a remarkable collection of leaves and debris and grit, down at bottom of that slot...

I believe the arrows point in the direction of the flow.

I'm not sure if your model is the same but on the X3 there is a tab on the filter that fits into a notch in the housing. Here is DIY guide i put together with some photos:
BMW X3 Cabin Air Filter Change DIY Guide I know that's overkill for a filter replacement, but i just wanted to document the process so anyone thinking about doing it could see how easy it is. Hope it helps someone.
