anybody installed a supercharge or turbo in their X5 4.8is

has anyone done it, I'm interested in squeezing all the HP I could in mine....any other mods I could look for gainig HP ??

ESS just finished developing a supercharger system for the 4.8 engine. you will have to phone or email them to inquire because they don't have any information on ordering on their website yet.

ECS is going to be your only option. I think AA down in Miami may have something for a 4.8 as well, but don't quote me on that.

If you want to go turbo then it will have to be custom, tuning by the experts like ECS.

Frankly I think both options, from a cost perspective, make absolutely no sense on a 5k lb SAV.

Check with VF engineering. They have a kit for the n62, built for the 540 but I bet you could modify it to work.
