Hi all, fairly new to this site and to the X5 but an huge bimmer man nonetheless.
My last one was an 02 745.
Now I have a 06 X5 sport 4.4 since late 2011. I've had to deal with the dreaded battery and now just finished a DIY alternator. Life was good after checking my install and all the numbers match up.
The issue, no radio, at all, doesn't even show up on screen. I have the dsp version with nav, aux and satellite radio. I have power to the 6disc cd but can't get anything out of the system. The nav still works without voice but Bluetooth and the rest won't show up on the nav screen. I've checked around the site but haven't found what I'm looking for. What am I missing?
Forgot to add, checked fuse #7 all good. Did have to replace the fuses for the nav unit, I think 73 or 74 and the a/c fuse.
