Has anyone ever tried this ?

I was looking at imaznumkay's pictures on the angel eye installation and was wondering if anyone with a color other than black, tried painting the inside of the headlight the car color ? For ex. an imola red X5 would have it painted red. Here's a little photoshop I did. I used imaznumkays pic.

Sorry for such a crappy photoshop. Maybe someone can do it better and photoshop it onto an x5.

Painting

I had it done on my M3 by the dealer acutually. They sold a kit to put in Silver trims, but I had them paint it Laguna Seca Blue. It wasn't tacky at all. It was very suttle. On an X5, it may be a little tacky because the trim is facing the oncoming driver. In the E46, it's on the top and bottom of the lights so you only see it standing in front of the car.

That looks really sweet body-colored. I like it.

Lorenzo(the car tint expert in Bronx, NY) painted them white on his X5. He also powdered coated the rims white. Verbalkint had posted these pics a while ago.
