love or stupidity

ok so as you know i got my car back from body shop after the darned accident. and i figured i waited long enough w/o running boards. so i decided to have today be the day. first ill say it took me 4hrs +- a few. but heres where the love or stupidity: it wasnt raining but it was about 35degrees. so i have the driver side attached and putting on the rear wheel trim and it starts to rain. so i look at the car put on a jacket and figure i cant leave it like this because well if i dont do it now its going to take for ever. so needless to say 4hrs, frozen hands, feet and soaking wet i finished the boards. PROBLEM i should have listened to you guys on the rivets and got more of the blind ones as i need 4 at the moment. and also i need to figure out what to attach at the bottom of the wheel trim the instructions say use expanding rivets however the picture looks like the expanding ones that i threw out and they didnt come with it. for what reason are the blind rivets perfect count while the stupid expanding ones are left over and i have 4 left over clips for the under board plastic i guess they thought of extras except for the ones that actually break.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

A true X5 enthusiast would say that's love. Most others would say it's stupidity. Thankfully we have a board full of true enthusiasts here

Happy New Year!!!

Personally, I admire you for your tennacity(sp?) and perseverance. It took what it took, especially factoring in the conditions. the BIG question is, "Do you love how it looks?" THAT's all that counts.
