Car won't start (no power): PROBLEM SOLVED

After driving over to a friends house, I went to leave and the X5 wouldn't start. It clicked maybe one time and then nothing. None of the lights etc. have any power. The only thing that seems to have power is the airbag light on the dash; it lights up when I try to turn the key. I replaced the battery about 2 months ago so I don't think that's it. I checked a couple of fuses and everything seems ago. I'm kinda lost as to what to try. Should I try and jump it off? Anybody got any suggestions please? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the replies. I haven't had a chance to try jumping it off yet, but if this works then why has my 2 month old battery died so fast? Can some batteries die this quick or just be defective?

EDIT: All electronics are 100% stocks

Batteries can be defective. If you lose a cell then you won't have enough juice to get you going.

I'm sure you checked this, but the vehicle is in Park, correct?

The same thing happend to me! It's probably not the battery. There's is a fusable link type connection behind the dash that is known to go bad. I had to replace a small wiring harness and some lobor time. They had 9 hours in locating this problem for me and they first replased the DME and found that that was not the problem. I bet if you heck for power at fuse box, there's nothing (no power). If you encounter these promlems, e-mail me and I'll check my bill and the description of repair so you can save on any BS labortimes they try to give you.

Ok, tried jumping the car off using an 05 chevy tahoe. All of the dash lights, etc. came back on but the car won't turn over. It clicks a couple of times but won't crank. Could my starter be bad? What now? Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. Thanks!

I gave it a good 5 minutes to charge. Does it still sound to ya'll like it could be the battery? I'm starting to think it may be the starter or something.

It was the fooking battery cable. Right when I touched it all the lights came on. Simply tightened her down and all is fine.

Thanks for all the help!!!!!!!!
