BMW X5 NAVI

hello out there to all i have a question and really hope someone can help me out with this i have a 2001 x5 and i added one of them hong kong aftermarket gps unit and it stopped working in a yr so i was thinking can i just add a stock bmw gps unit and if so what would i need beside the gps screen?

If it didn't come from the factory with navigation, that means it's not pre-wired for it. The wiring harness runs from the back all the way to the front, not an easy job, you basically have to remove the interior, on top of that it's very expensive. I think there's a link under the "How To" tab at the top of the page.

i have factory retrofit instruction in PDF, about 1Mb file... if you have an email, i can send you a copy - it has the part numbers and factory instructions... installation time is 7.5 hours by a dealer... DIY - double that... lol...

LOL haha wow that sounds like alot of work hahaha so would you guys say imbetter off buying another aftermarket one then lol and yes i send me the instructions so i can see how its done .. my email is ... [email protected]

Which aftermarket unit do you have? The Dynavin aftermarket unit is considered head and shoulders above the Hualingan, if that's the one you have. Click on the link below if you want to take a look at the Dynavin.

i have the hualingan and curtin43 make sure you dont get a hualingan all i read is bad things about them
