TwinTurbo is right. 4.8is came with Nappa leather, not Dakota.
Nappa leather is softer and smoother feel, but not as durable while Dakota has little rough feel in comparison, but is durable. Dakota was used on 3.0 and 4.4i. Nappa on 4.6is and 4.8is.

my 4.6iS has the TEILLEDER W.N./SCHWARZ (N5SW) and the 4.8iS has the EXCLUSIVLEDER WALKNAPPA/SCHWARZ (V9SW)... both interior are black, both are sport seats but the 4.8 has two variations of the leather texture, smooth and "goose bumps" - the "goose bumps" are inserts on the buttom and the back, and on the headrest the "goose bumps" are on the sides of the headrest...

Yours is very strange case, definetely someone had changed the seats on you... Do the rear seats match the front? what about the sides on the rear seats, the ones that are aligned with the rear backrests but do not move, and make the part of the C-pillar? Do they match?

That is the part #7 on the diagram

Hi Terminator! Very informative. I checked the seats and the side parts, they all do match. I guess the previous owner or car dealer (not BMW dealer) changed all the door panels and all the seats including center console pad. Right now, I have a problem, my front right door panel has a little broken, I want to replace it with a used one, brand new is too expensive. More over, I also found that V9SW rear door panel has already ended, so if I want to replace rear door panel, I can only buy used rear door panel. Otherwise, maybe I have to buy Dakota black (LCSW). Any idea where I can buy used V9SW door panel and worldwide shipping service is available?
