4.6is no heat, things to look for?

So I still have my 2002 4.6is kicking around. Yesterday morning I noticed that I'm not getting any heat out of the heater. A/C isn't on, Dial on dash is set to heat. Water pump and thermo was done 10K ago. No airlock in system and the fluid is at the correct level. All hoses (upper rad, inlet and outlet of expansion tank and lines going to core) seem to be heating up fine. Not sure what else to look for.

What am I missing?

thanks.

checked the valve - it's fine. after much digging and taking the dash apart I have determined that the bowden cable for the heat/cool is broken at one end. So although the wheels on the dash spins, it does nothing. The flap was stuck in the cold position. Heat is fixed, now I just have to find a new bowden cable.

thx for the help guys.
