GPS display 2001 X5

Can someone help me?? I have posted before. The long and the short of the problem. My wife left the headlights on and the battery went dead. It was jump started and after being jump started the display screen does not (work) show the GPS or anything for that matter. The radio does work and the buttons change the channels. It is frustrating because I can not see what radio station I am on or I can not use the GPS because the screen is out. Can anyone help? Please... I do not have the $130 to pay a "diagnostic fee" at BMW.

I have checked the fuses and they appear to be functioning correctly. If someone knows which ones I should change I will try that.

Thanks,
John

there are many fuses to check, of course, in the obvious trunk and the glove compartment place, also the monitor itself should have a fuse in the back of the unit. this will require the screen to come off - there are threads that talk about removing the monitor - not that hard...

I have been having nav issues myself . My x5 is 2006 & on mine there is a fuse panel in the pass rear access panel(open up the rear hatch & it is on your right). I was cycling my nav sys with the 4th fuse from left to right which also killed the navi screen. Hope this helps.
