Is there a setting to automatically turn ON the rear defrost if temperature is close to or below the freezing point?
My E46 was turning ON the defrost every winter morning when I started the car in the morning, but not my X5. It was a nice feature to have.

interesting feature... if we had the FSW file from your E46, we could find if E53 has that line in its coding - the programming is similar but the german abbreviations are a nightmare to decipher...

Angel Eyes and License Plate -KALTUEBERWACHUNG_KZL - aktiv lic plate cold monitoring - needs to be set to nicht_activ - NOT TESTED -KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_LV - Angel Eyes -KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_RV - Angel Eyes 8. I wish we could close the mirrors with lock. -SPIEGELEINKLAPPEN - aktiv (not tested) 9. Sync time with GPS. -GPS_UHR - aktiv 10. nicht_aktiv it says tail light LED - not active.... i wonder, if this will resolve LED flickering while ON for retrofitted LED taillights if set to activ....
