Transfer case adaptation - Foxwell NT520
The X5 had a lot of codes due to battery drain from no sleep mode last week. The trans went into limp mode. It's working fine now. It's been daily driven since. I erased all codes. Next week, I'll scan it again. Something in the rear kept clicking. I don't know if it was me or something actually moving. I'll have to sit in the back seat and listen carefully. Is the hatch mechanism known for problems? I'll have to look for the Foxwell sleep mode command to help troubleshoot.

You need to go to service menu for such. Be careful in there don't experiment.

The transfer case adaption is complete. Here is a menu guide for a Foxwell NT520 Pro
In the BMW scan mode go : Main Groups: scroll down Option 1. Auto scan: scroll down Service menu: scroll down Option 2 Drive: scroll down Option 3 Transmission contro VGT Option 1 Oil Change: follow the menu prompts. It will ask several questions. The final step will be adaption. The final code on my X5 is clear! Yippy! Next project: identify the three keys for labeling. Reinitialize 1 key.

When you pair your keys you have to do them all at once.
Fantastic about knocking out the last code.

Yea, almost 5k miles on it since we bought it. It's our daily town runner. Getting 16-17 MPG. It's not even tuned yet. New plugs are ready to go in soon.
Three keys are in use. 1 original and 2 lock smith cut. I assume the stock key will be lower numbered. My daily key is #7. The third is either higher or lower. I found menu option that identifies the keys. I'll have to search for it again.

You can identify as you suspect but I don't think it matters for pairing.
