Differential, Hyphoid Gears, Red Line Fluid ???
OK, So I changed my Diffs with Redline MT-90 (75-90W GL-4) gear oil as recommended by ECS Tuning.
After the fact, I then read on Redline's web site that it is not recomended for Hyphoid Gears and that their 75-90W GL-5 gear lube is what they recomend? So was I screwed by ECS? Is it a big concern, do these differentials have hyphoid gears and why does it matter? Now I am looking at changing it out with the correct fluid and am not to happy about it ![]() Live and learn I guess.

Wanted to follow up.
Called ECS to discuss right after posting this on the forum. They determined that it was a mistake in their links for the wrong product and they are shipping out replacement Fluids (and bolts for skid plate). Kudos to ECS for excellent customer service and rectifying a mistake asap with minimal hastle. I actually recieved an E-mail confirmation of shipment of the replacement fluids within minutes of my phone call. Unfortunately, I have to do it again, oh well, I guess practice makes perfect.
