Smile Supersprint Exhaust for BMW X5 4.8is or Magnaflow?

Guys,

For a while now I was thinking of redoing the exhaust (back end). I Want to get rid of the stock mufflers and go with either stright pipes all the way to the back - or go with imroved mufflers. Just stright pipe might be too loud and raspy - so I have started to search online for exhaust systems and came across this system -> Supersprint Exhaust for BMW X5 4.8is V8 (e53) - 2005-2006 - 4x90x85mm oval.. Its not cheap.. $2,500 - not including installation/tax so I'm looking at 3 Grand...

Most important question - is this worth it?? and does anyone have any vids or sound clips of how the X5 sounds with the Supersprint Exhaust?? is it worth the $$?? or should I go to a custom exhaust shop and have them play around?? One exhaust shop near me quoted me $1,100 to redo the exhuast with MAGNAFLOW mufflers similar to ones in Dodge Chargers (as seen here: MAGNAFLOW® - Street Series Cat-Back Exhaust System - Dual Split Rear Exit - 2012 Dodge Charger Magnaflow Street Series Exhaust Systems )

What you guys recommend??? Is the supersprint mufflers good? worth it?? or should I try to do the rear end of the exhaust with magnaflow parts? I want this car to sound like a beast and right now I feel the stock mufflers are limiting that...

Eisenmann

From personal experience I highly recommend Eisenmann...

All I did was remove the center resonator and replaced with a $70 X pipe. Got all the sound I needed and it sounds GOOD. Best sounding bang for the buck on any Bimmer I've done.

I should include that I've used SuperSprint on my BMW's including my 1975 2002 and my 2000 supercharged 540 with SuperSprint headers. I am pretty picky about the sound in my cars. I even removed the dual exhaust after installing it because I thought the sound was too much like a Chevy truck to my ear. The SuperSprint was just right.

540 headers:

I already removed the resonator and it improved the sound quality. The car sounds very very very good when im revving it in park - but when driving it around - i feel it could do better..

Wolf --I looked into Eisenmann and its approx: $2,500 not including installation or tax so same price as the SuperSprint. (see: BMW E53 X5 4.6iS Eisenmann Performance Exhaust-B5318.00831 ) I guess the 4.6is placement would fit on a 4.8is as I dont see Eisenmann for the 4.8is.. The thing is - are these exhaust worth it?? I mean a MAGNAFLOW system will cost me $1200 versus a Eisenmann/SuperSprint at $3000... Big difference... and I honestly cant see anything of such a big different to cost so much... So is Eisenmann/SuperSprint worth it?????

Oh. Well, I wrote above that I only *have* the X pipe, so my audio clip would likely sound very similar to the one I posted. Why else would romeokc10 want to hear an audio clip of my X5?

This was a response for someone else (romeokc10) who posted the request. Not for you at all.
