Newbie here, E53 EHC2 trouble

Hi, hope I am in the right forum to diagnose air suspension problems. I have the GT1 scanner but find it difficult to get to where I should be to test each component. Can someone walk me through the correct steps please. I have DIS 4.4 and 5.7 and SSS and NCS Expert. I have been looking around in DIS4.4 but am cautious about pressing to many buttons that I don,t know there purpose, as I have heard horror stories about bursting air bags by accident. By the way I have changed the two front airbags and have noted that I have 1.1 volts on RHF suspension sensor where the others are higher than that. My problem is the dreaded "self levelling suspension inactive" is on and I can clear the code and it returns 2 or 3 days later, otherwise everything works OK. What I should like to do is fix the sensor problem and reclibrate the system but it appears that I have to put the car in "Belt mode" and do it from there but there is no such mode only a Transport mode and Line mode so once again scared to touch it. I would really appreciate some help but remember I am a newbie.
