Depo headlight angel eyes ring issue

I have depos for about 2 and half years and never had any issues with the headlights or angel eyes. Yesterday I noticed that one of the big rings of the angel eyes is half kinda dimmed and it goes on and off then it is normal then only half dimmed again.
Does anyone have similiar issue and what can I do to solve this.
Please help with suggestions. Thanks.

i do not have the Depo lights but if the halos are the CCFLs, then the ballast maybe going south... i remember buying those balasts for about $4.50-$5.00 a piece + shipping.. do a search on google, you might be able to find something...

No. Those are not CCFL's. They are UHP LED

LEDs dim when the voltage drops, and the simplest LED wiring is with a resistor and LED in line. yours probably has a more sophisticated circuitry, so, it could be one of the components going bad... components that can usually go bad are electrolythic capacitors, as the juice inside of them may dry up and thus changing the nominal value...
Is the circuit board accessible? 2.5 years later, it is probably not under any warranty - how much is it to get it fixed by the manufacturer?

those I bought off ebay and they are chinese, so I doubt there is any warranty or fix by manufacturer. I'm just wondering if there is something i can check to make sure all is good. everything is inside the headlight and just wires coming out so not sure where to start, maybe loose connection after 2 years

I have the same problem, but never stay dimmed for long.

I used crimped spade (male to female) connectors, my guess the crimp is bad or loose; cause I never have a dimmed AE on the other side and both AEs are power from a single relay so I know the juice is good for both.

No. it does not stay dim for more than several seconds and it is only on one side that I've noticed so far on the big ring only and half of it, not the whole ring, so you think I should check the connections and all?

Did you fix yours already?

I think your issue and mine is different, on mine both, small and big AEs on the same side gets dim for a short while then normal.
Yours is half circle dim only on one AE (the bigger one), sounds like either the internal wiring for those LEDs that makes up a single AE circle is coroded or something (it's been fine for 2.5 years).

Now, it makes me wonder why I've seen alot of Depo X5 headlight sold individually (left only or right only), maybe these AEs just don't last, bummer.

Depo used haft and haft ( 2 piece into one ring)LED rings for each beam,Your best shot
is bake them open and measure the length of the ring ,you can buy just the led's ring on ebay once you know the diameter.
