Same. This only works after turning off the car, either from running, or having it in pos 2. Just hit the power button, and radio turns on.
This function will turn off as soon as you open the door. It will not work if you are entering the car, for example in the morning. You would have to put the car in pos2, then remove key, then it will work as long as the door is closed.
