You are correct I am not.

I could get to a point I would find out how bad it understeers. My point is the stock handling of at least a 4.6 is more than adequate to handle any reasonable street driving without an understeering shortcoming. I am including going at least twice the speed limit going up a 3 story curving entrance ramp at the point where the tires sing. On the street that is where my pucker factor says--that's fast enough dipstick those are not soft walls and you don't have a parachute.

Just to be clear. I do not condone finding the limits on the street. Autocross events, on the track, etc. okay. I did not drive my X or any of my vehicles anywhere near its limits on the street or otherwise.

My pucker threshold is probably much lower than yours!

Just popped into my head, but how does this affect alignment. Like do I need to get the KMAC camber pieces for $380 so I don't roast through tires like no other or will everything still be able to get aligned like normal by just taking it to a shop?

The coilovers will change the alignment unless they are adjusted to the same angle to the tires as was the existing suspension. Since at least part of your goal is to lower your X the alignment will change. Lowering the vehicle will result in more positive camber (increased wear on the inside of the tires).

I suggest getting your vehicle to the ride height and ride quality you are seeking, drive it for a hundred miles for verification and then have it aligned. That way you should only have to do it once. If the setting on the coilovers does not allow an in spec alignment you can make the decision to either accept an out of spec alignment or potentially make adjustments, settle the suspension and complete the alignment.

You are correct. For some reason I mix that up about half the time. Maybe it's because I am left handed. I really do know which is which. Glad you noticed.

I love mine. I run them stiff (26 clicks front, 19 clicks rear) for drives, but for DD use I leave them on the softest settings. The rear is as low as I could go and then adjust the front a hair lower to keep the stock raked look. I only rubbed once during the drive to Bimmerfest on some heavy switchbacks.

I got them for $950 shipped on Amazon and they included rear adjusters.

This forum sucks for attaching pics, I give up.

Any luck posting pics yet? I'm sure many of us would love to see your ride!
