12W LED Angel Eye Bulb Upgrade

I made my first customization to my new E53 tonight.... I think it turned out quite well.

I picked up these on Ebay they are 12W with 4 3W chips on each bulb.
They arrived very quickly have excellent fitment and are all aluminum.

And the side by side nightshot......

Both LED installed "EXTREMELY BRIGHT"

Money well spent IMHO.

I got them on ebay from seller BMWLED.
I didn't do a write up for the install because it's so simple. They are plug and play.. no modification or additional wiring needed

Thanks man... The OEM AE's are ridiculously dim and yellow IMHO I had to make it my first mod. No error codes they come with the resistors to eliminate that.

If your ever in the Maple Grove area shoot me a PM.

I have aftermarket AEs already, they are not yellow however they are quite dim. I'm in MG all the time, my office is in Plymouth. I wouldnt mind comparing them in person before buying something else. Frankly I havent seen any brighter AEs for the OEM fixtures yet so I'm interested. I'll PM ya one of these days, thanks!

Unfortunately this was occurring before I installed the new AE bulbs.
I have heard about the RF interference with the LED stuff before tough but since it was an existing problem before I installed them I'm guessing they are unrelated.

$70.00 Shipped Ebay Seller BMWLED

I'm going to bust out my Ibus interface and coding laptop tonight and disable the cold monitoring and Check control on AE's, fogs and lic. plate for my next mods.

I remember you mentioning it's a killer on the LEDs.

Start your car at night lights in off position. You will see the drivers flash quick. Yea that happens every time you start the car. That's the cold monitoring.
