PDC Repairs?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had their PDC system repaired and what the costs were like? I am getting the prolonged beep followed by the flashing light. Also; Unrelated- where is a good place to source new lens for our headlights?

Thanks

Sounds like the wiring harness at the bumper where it is subject to damage, or a sensor gone bad.

this, i usually just hold my hand close to each sensor and listen for clicking.

In my case I have one sensor bad in the front and one in the rear, so I just pulled the fuse for PDC and its turned off until I feel like buying 2 sensors.

Just get a couple of Low Tech Parking sensor and you're good to go for people who can't park a car without some form of assistance.

mdubs9, once you find the sensor(s) that are not working, just buy them online (e-bay) and install yourself. they are a bit of a pain in the ass (stuck in their housings by dirt, and removal of bumper sux, but very doable). I'm still trying to figure out my problem. I replaced a sensor that was not working but it still happens, so I'm thinking its a wiring issue

thats why i ended up pulling the fuse and disabling it, I was afraid I was going to spend 100 bucks on 2 sensors and have it still not work after replacing!

I had the same problem. Found out which sensor was not clicking. Bought one from eBay for £15 and now all sorted. Works fine

I though I was going to need to replace mine. Checked the issue, and found out that the middle front one wires got chafed and then disconnected. Took off bumper, friend soldered it, and we hot glued the whole shebang to protect the wires.

Total cost, a bunch of beers.
