Ceramic Break Pads - Bad For Calipers???

Last year buddy of mine had some ceramic pads installed on his 4.6is at the local Midas. The guy told him that it would decrease the brake dust. True enough it did. This year, he got into a fender bender (got rear ended). The dealer was fixing his truck. He went to pick it up and the dealer said they had to replace his calipers because the ceramic pads would get too hot and lock up the calipers. So they replaced the calipers and pads.

Now maybe its just me, but I thought the whole thing behind ceramic pads was that they REDUCED heating up which meant better stopping distances. I admit I don't know everything, but it sounds like the stealership was up to no good.

What say you????
