drinking alot of diesel
Hi everyone, i recently got my 2006 x5 3.0 serviced (oil & filter, air filter and diesel filter) and I put in a new battery. After this smoke came out of the small exaust under the passenger side door a few times but has now stopped. My main problem is it is using more diesel then it used to. Just wondering was something not done right and what could I do to make this right. All help much appreciated

May be the diesel heater consuming fuel. That is what the small exhaust is for.

You can disable the webasto heater. I might have spelled that wrong. But yea, it keeps your car warm inside the cabin when the temp goes below a certain temperature. You should search here for more info, as I am not too familiar with it.

Not much info here, as it was only offered on the diesels, which weren't sold in North America. You may have more luck on xdrivers.co.uk.
