The "door" wire on the alpine is going to be a pos or negitive trigger, my guess is probably negitive trigger. The harness you have pictured, does that go to one of the dome lights? Other O/H monitors usually have provisions for many different makes to allow it to connect to different autos. If your connector goes to the lights then there has to be a power and a ground to the bulb somewhere, sometimes they are always present with a "trigger" and sometimes one is there and one is not depending on door status. If you probe the wires with a DMM you should find something that "opens" and "closes" you can probably use that and a relay to get the lights to come on, however they will not fade like the rest of the lighting.
