great measurements guys! most of the bulbs i have seen are just under 1 inch diameter so they should work quite nicely. I want to find ones like I posted above with the clear "bulb" surrounding the cree diode, but those diodes need to be positioned higher and facing outward as well as upward.

hmmmm I may try out these for 32 bucks from China, the diodes are "up" in the housing more, with the glass bulb, 4 chips totaling 20w. Sounds promising but I always get turns in my stomach when seeing the Chinese sellers negative feedbacks lol.

2 x 20W CREE Q5 White Car 1156 BA15S High Power Turn Signal LED Light Glass Bulb | eBay

I'll update if I get a set and definitely would post pics, if I get them from China they are probably going to take a few weeks. Then again, I may just update my Solaris Invisibulbs from Bimmian to their new ultrabright version which is supposed to be 2x brighter than what I have now, would solve all my problems and save the questions about all these LEDs.

I guess the definitive question here is WILL ANY OF THESE LED's be brighter than a standard halogen bulb with chrome invisibulb coating? PM'ed patrickkc to see if I could buy one of his 25w sets, I'd like to do a side by side comparison of my Solaris bulbs in the reverse now and one of his bulbs he posted up higher. I looked on ebay but couldn't find the type he has!

guys i just ordered these on ebay (patrickkc thanks for the offer on yours but i wanted to try something newer)

1156 25 Watt Extreme HID White CREE LED Reverse Back Up Light Bulbs BA15S S25 | eBay

Like the ones shown above but instead of 4 cree LEDs on the side, this has 8. i'm hoping it throws even more light towards the rear.

When I got my car coded I realized that my current reverse lights, xenon white Invisibulbs from Bimmian with the blue coating and the chrome coating on top aren't bright enough for me, but the invisible look is cleaner on the rear. When I get these in I will take daytime pics side by side so you can see comparisons.

Does anyone want my chrome invisibulbs? If not i'll just toss them...

It seems that I won't be able to get them in before I leave for vacation next month, so I held off my order until I'm back. So I won't be able to have test them until mid May.

They are delivered today I will try and get some pics up later tonight, I especially want to do a comparison shop of the 1 side with 25w LED and the other side with current Solaris Invisibulb from Bimmian!
