Free door handle fix

I followed this diy and it was very informative.

However I have a spin on it that allows you to not have to buy a new carrier.

My carrier was broken right where the spring is. The metal hinge was broken in half. My fix? I retucked the spring and aligned everything correctly. (just used a flathead screwdriver to push the spring down and pushed the hinge together). Once assembled I secured with a zip tie to keep everything together. Actualy added a second zip tie just in case. When that was done I reassembled and it actually worked!

Free door handle fix diy!
