Odd comments non-owners say about your X5

I've only had my X5 for a few days, but already I have received several odds comments. It's funny. No one ever commented on my old Volvo wagon. lol. But for some reason people feel the need to make comments about the X5. Some of those comments have been complimentary, uncomplimentary, or downright bizarre. I'd love to hear some of the odd things people have said about your X5.

Of the comments I can remember so far...

CarToys
"Your speakers are too hard to replace. My advice is to get used to them." (Gee. Thanks.)
"I didn't think anyone was buying BMWs anymore." (Gee. Thanks again! I guess I won't be dropping any $$ bucks at your store.)

Barista
"I like the red. I like the X5 but I don't think I would ever buy one." (Gee. Thanks. Didn't I just give you a tip? Can I have that back??)

I should mention that I'm not a punk kid. I'm just a regular man. Nothing unusual. Not trying to show off. Just trying to enjoy a nice car for once in my life.

I would AGREE to that!

Took two females at work for a 1st ride at their request. 30 year old up front. 55 year old in back. At first they were impressed with the front and back heated leather seats but dubious about the power. Ummm... until I downshifted from 3rd to 2nd. When we got out the older woman spent about 3 minutes looking for all the stuff that flew out of her pants pockets. heh

Well you have a barista commenting on your car so that means a Starbucks in the vicinity.

They have Starbucks in the hood? thread tie-in from other thread

I live in what once was a nice neighborhood that went downhill. The old homes are now being bought up (slowly) by younger folks and being revamped. So it's a neighborhood in transition. We have some very nice people and decent cars and homes but also a crack house kitty corner to my building that apparently was just shut down yesterday as there are public notice signs pasted all over it now (thank Heaven). I never said I lived in a South African ghetto. I don't understand why some people can't simply answer a question. Sheesh.

People can't make jokes anymore? Sheesh

To keep on topic and not piss off the OP, the odd comments people make to me are:

1) Oh my God you must be making a lot of money to drive a BMW (and I tell them its nearly 10 years old so no I'm not rolling in the money)
2) THAT THING IS A STICK SHIFT?????

Sorry. I'm a little defensive after the mixed reception here. I just bought a pretty nice 4.6 so I'm not a complete idiot as some posters seem to think I am.
