Indoor/Outdoor Mounting Tape-411-LONG/DC at The Home Depot
Your wing must have a shallower tape recess pocket then the one I received. As I mentioned in my inital post, the tape recess in mine measures 55 mil deep, that Home Depot tape is only 45 mil thick. The only way that tape could work would be if it were applied to the raised surface AROUND the tape recess, that would leave the edge of the tape visible and not allow the wing to fit flush (5 mil clearence) to the mounting surface.

Yeah, IMSA wings on FWD vehicles or vehicles incapable of speeds in excess of 150 mph is

When Henessey built my Viper, John H strongly recommended installation of an IMSA wing (RT body style gets light out back at speeds in excess of 170 mph), I refused because every compact FWD import driven by a "pants hangin' of their ass, convict style unlaced "kicks" and a sideways "House of Pain" ballcap" had the biggest wing possible installed. Actually fell asleep one night fighting the "form follows function" logic (a 200 mph RT Viper NEEDS this item to keep the rear planted). Had a dream that night where I drove out to the Sebring 12 hr and was parked in a lot full of winged Hondas. That dream assured me I made the correct call.

I went with the lip wing similar to the OE one BMW installs on many sport and performance package equipped vehicles. Equating that IMSA wing to a BMW lip wing is like telling your girlfriend/wife her tasteful make-up application makes her look like this........
