You need to put a wrench or socket on the nuts above the pan. Put something to support the pan because it's HEAVY.

I think I know what you're talking about. There are nuts on top, get another wrench up above and spin the wrench below. Use an impact on the bottom if you have it. If all else fails, PB blaster.

I think it is the reinforcement plate under the engine you refer to? If so, those bolts have a nut on top that you have to retain. The tight ones you will need an impact wrench or a bigger wrench.

Fml. yeah its the reinforcement metal plate. I guess there has to be a nut above. But I dont even know where to slide in a wrench to hold the nut above. this thing is just insane. At this point i think it might even be ATF fluid leaking as the resevior is really dirty and the hoses running from it. Also looks like fluid from there disappeared. I will find after the fan is out.

There's no ATF reservoir. If you been putting ATF fluid in the Power Steering Reservoir you might have just screw up the power steering system. Or you may have lucked out if the power steering system uses ATF instead of Pentosin hydraulic fluid CHF 11s. The cap on top of the reservoir will indicate which fluid to use.

If you are replacing the oil seal between the oil filter housing and engine block, you don't need to remove the metal pan.

If you are doing an oil change, you don't need to remove the metal pan.

There's a power steering reservoir and it takes ATF.
Nothing to screw up.
