Killer 4.6is with every Dinan option for sale in Calgary

I talked to the owner of Elite Auto in Calgary and he has a 2002 4.6is in Estoril Blue with 138,000kms. From BMW, it had the full Dinan supercharger package including big brakes, exhaust and everything else that goes along with it. He's asking $19,500. It also has an Escort lazer detector/jammer system built in also.
If hadn't just spent almost 6G on mine with new transmission and altenator I'd be seriously looking at buying it.

I hope someone on this forum buys it.

I can't get this vehicle out of my head. I've got a E36 M3 coupe, same estoril blue Dinan supercharged with black wheels and big break kit also. This X5 would be a perfect match with my car but I always thought it would be a little tacky to have two vehicles the same colour. I don't really need a third vehicle while living in a condo by myself. Choices choices.

This is one of those times where I'll be happy for someone on the forum or someone I know who's in the market to buy it. I just finished the summer long bullshit of troubleshooting, then finally replacing my transmission then altenator, I just have to be happy with mine. I still really like my lifted X5 with my big winter tires.

Does anyone know of any changes BMW made on the 4.6is from 2002 to 2003? I'm seriously considering getting this supercharged X5 but my concern is that if there were serious changes made from one year to the next, being that it was it's first year out, I'd want to steer clear of it at all cost.

From my research, the 02 and 03 trucks are almost identical.

Since the X5 production started in 1999(?), I would think they had most of the initial issues ironed out by the time the 4.6 came out.

Of course the 4.6 is still subject to all of the same issues as the rest of the V8 X5s.

Go for it. IMO, Estoril 4.6 will continue to be very desireable for years to come. The brakes alone should be worth $3k on the market, and another $6k for the SC kit. I think you can get your $ out of the truck if you need to.

It's got black interior with alumium trim, just like mine. I told the guy he could keep the wheels. They're 22" 285s but I still like my factory 20s WAY better.
