16:9 LCD netvigator screen with CD drive behind the screen?

Hi all! I just found this on eBay, the seller said this monitor was equipped with CD drive behind the screen which was a newer version. I have never heard that BMW produced such thing, all I know is every wide screen is equipped with tape cassette deck behind the screen. Any idea?

The only in-dash unit that had a CD behind the face was for the e46. You can see that the one pictured on in the ebay posting has a narrow jut out section on the top center of the unit which is for a cassette tape.

i have seen this unit in my travels, and it does look like it belongs to an E53 or E39 - the E46 front bezel has a "hump" on it, and the one on that listing is flat, as in E53.

However, n_sievers is right, the back portion does look narrow enough for a tape, and not wide enough for a CD

I just asked the seller if he was sure for that. He said he was sure for that.
