P0363-MISFIRE CODE / FUELING DISABLED
Hi Everyone...I thought I would share this past weekends experience of changing out my spark plugs and coil packs.
I have two OBD2 code readers, one does something the other doesn't, but I got a generic misfire detected code in my non-BMW OBD2 code reader, but then troubleshot it with my little BMW OBD2 code reader and it faulted the #4 cylinder. I cleared the fauil and re-confirmed the fault to that cylinder. Also, my SES light would flash.
Being the #4 cylinder, of course it's the worst one to crap out and get too. Even worse, it was on the side where all my supercharger crap is located which has to be removed to gain decent access. To make a long story short, I decided to change all 4 cyclinder packs and plugs since I didn't want to go down there again anytime soon. Changing out the packs and plugs was the easiest thing to do, and then a few hours, and a beer, to re-assemble all that crap. I cleared the faults, started her up...and she purred like a kitty, function check good. I got lots of my infor on the basic job from here and the bimmer forum. THanks guys...I can post pics later.
