Speaking of aesthetics, that CF engine cover is a piece of art! My only concern is what was done to prevent yellowing effect from high temperatures in an engine bay?

It's not real carbon, just treated or airbrushed to look like it.

All that work and the lower aero panels are still body color? Lower i s aero panels need to be finished satin black to match the body cladding they are mounted over. EVERY i s I see on the road looks "boy racer" and "look at my aero kit" (think JDM tuner or "Fast N' Furious"). BMW dropped the ball by painting those lower parts body color IMHO.

Test drove a silver '03 4.6is with black lower panels in FL 2 yrs ago when I was in the market for an X. Bert Smith BMW trade in vehicle, told prior owner disliked the silver lower panels too. Did not take pic but if I ever pick up an i s I will be doing the same. Panels blend in MUCH better on the black i s.

This is a matter of personal taste, I feel the stepside running boards give the E53 a "soccer mom" look too.

I see what you mean now with the Satin look...it does look different...hmm.something to think about on my X...........But you know 4.8MNSTR always wants everything shiny...so im guessing he wont be doing that...he Wet Gels the sh*t out of those flares,trims,all the black stuff he can find on the X..lol..

LOL C'mon man you know there is always that 1% lol.... matt black body kit on a E53 would be like getting a Boob job for your girl but asking here to wear sweaters all the time lmao the Twin looks hot and as soon as you get the front lip on yours, you will be DONE! looking perfect

Style 87's just looks right on the E53's. Just as much as I think the Style 214's look on the E70's.
