Now that's one mean 4.8is indeed!
Speaking of aesthetics, that CF engine cover is a piece of art! My only concern is what was done to prevent yellowing effect from high temperatures in an engine bay?

It's not real carbon, just treated or airbrushed to look like it.

All that work and the lower aero panels are still body color? Lower i s aero panels need to be finished satin black to match the body cladding they are mounted over. EVERY i s I see on the road looks "boy racer" and "look at my aero kit" (think JDM tuner or "Fast N' Furious"). BMW dropped the ball by painting those lower parts body color IMHO.

Its not Real Carbon......but it went through the Process of the Laminate carbon then add the film..then airbrush it.........if you talk to him..he'll explain it to you better.......the airbrush accents on those 8 pack ..and added shadows towards the middle....

Definitely stop by man..........introduce yourself.......

Tiag---can you explain what you mean........paint the Black flares with Body color?

Papa--i want to see your Interior man.....

The silver panels below the front and rear bumpers have less of a "boy racer" look when they are finished in satin black. Satin black allows them to blend in and give a "single part" look. When they are body color (silver in your case) those pieces take on an added on, non-OE look.

Man, the look is always relative - if the owner likes it, it's also worth it, it's always like arguing which color is better.

I agree, that's why my inital post contained a "IMHO".

Test drove a silver '03 4.6is with black lower panels in FL 2 yrs ago when I was in the market for an X. Bert Smith BMW trade in vehicle, told prior owner disliked the silver lower panels too. Did not take pic but if I ever pick up an i s I will be doing the same. Panels blend in MUCH better on the black i s.

This is a matter of personal taste, I feel the stepside running boards give the E53 a "soccer mom" look too.
