you are absolutely right about that. i always wanted to add the 4.6is lip to make it different since hardly many people have that on a facelifted x5 but the more i seee it i like the 4.8is bumper and i have been dying for running boards.

i cannot reuse the flares because they are the lemans non running boards type. If i had original 4.8is flares then yes i could have reused them

I'm glad you understood where I was coming from. I wasn't knocking your desire to mod...its just good to know that you know that modding can become addictive....especially when you've already done a fantastic job at personalizing your X5.

Just don't want to see you end up like some of these folks that have taken modification too far:

lmao i understand my cousin actually thought i was nuts now swapping my entire bumper for the 4.8is bumper but after that im definitely done
