Cheers, so basically set the heat to max and key to position 2.

What does '3 dots on the upper dash to fully red' mean.

Rog.

yeah, heat to max, fan to all the way down I should say.

the three dots are that little roller between the center vents. one way is red, one way is blue. Make sure its all the way red.

It was my understanding that the aux. circulation pump only functions when key is pos 2 (run) and front defrost (top right button w/ red indicator on HVAC panel) is selected. This will push the coolant though the heater circuit without the engine running. 'Burping' only occurs when the thermostat opens and releases any air trapped behind it...which requires the engine to be up to operating temp.

Update: changed the thermostat today and bleed the system, needle now sits straight in the middle of the gauge.

Cheers for the tips guys, can't believe how easy it is to bleed when you know how, really could not have done it without the help of this forum.

Many thanks.

Rog.
