updated retrofit of rear footwell lights with part numbers above, hope that helps guys that don't currently have rear footwell lighting and would like to add it.

that is a little more involved but the OP of the "rear heated seat retrofit" thread documents it pretty well actually, I just wish our rear benches had the elements pre-installed, and literally all we had to do was buy the switches, dig out the wiring and plug them in!

I'd like the thread that I found the footwell lights part numbers in but our forum is still having problems, no linking and search is down! sucks!

Wonder what the price is on a bench seat with heating element installed already? Probably too rich for my blood (plus no one ever sits in the rear in my X anyway, no kids and our Bulldog stays in my wife's car for transport only!)

there was a thread a few months back about the options and mods, and somewhere in the middle of the thread there were some basics for the retrofit... once search is back, look for Unclebuck's posts...

I think that was the read I found the footwell light retrofit info in??

I'll have to look again, but he had like a 6-7 page thread about retrofitting rear seat heat.

Finished the swap. I did not get one of the "kits" on Ebay. I got each bulb separately because i wanted more SMD's per Each LED bulb. Here is the result.

I like the look Blue4.8, what seller did you get the bulbs from and what sizes where needed. Looking to perform similar mod to my red 4.8.

Please don't. Unless you plan to change to a led version tail-light housing.
