LED questions

I know there's a bunch of threads related to this, but can't seem to get all the information correct. Here's what I've gathered and please correct me if i'm wrong:

need 4 39mm festoons for the under door lights

need 2 39mm festoons for the side mirror lights

need 2 194 flank?? LEDs for cargo area

need ????? for front and rear turn signals (anyone put amber LEDs in there??)

trying to complete my LED installs

I took the following (i think facelifts have rear footwell lights as well as front footwell lights, I only have front footwell lights on my 2003):

11 39mm festoons (x2 vanity lights above visors, x2 front footwells, x4 bottom door lights, x2 rear dome light, x1 front dome light)

4 194 wedge (x2 for rear hatch, make sure they are flank LED or at least 360 viewing angle, x2 map lights on the front dome)

for the front and rear turn signals I just used the halogen equivalent of Bimmian.com's Solaris invisibulbs, they are 20 bucks a pair and are brighter than the LED equivalents and you don't have to do coding or put resistors in)

I don't have puddle lights on my mirrors but those are x2 194 wedge bulbs, those you definitely need a resistor for or make sure they are error free. and x2 194 wedge for license plate lights, make sure those are error free.

Thanks for the info. I already bought and installed some LEDs from umnitza for the licenses plate lights, running no codes W/out resistors, must be the coding. So i can order the same for the mirrors?

i think it is a "light package option", the iS models usually are fully optioned, with only a couple things left as options - the nav, the rear airbags, the sliding floor, the TV tuner for non-US spec'd cars...

i also think it is a retrofittable option, i think i had a PDF somewhere for the retrofit... besides, i think somebody on this forum had retrofitted the rear lights...

Well I have Sport and Premium package, no light package but I have stock Xenon obviously so not sure what the light package would entail, all I know is they are missing on my 2003 haha!

hmmm if it's pre-wired i would be interested to see, if all I needed was the light housings and 2 LED bulbs I would def retrofit.

Should I "feel" around under the seat or the carpeted area to see if maybe the "hole" for the rear footwell lights is there and just covered by the carpet? I can look around when I get home later and fill you guys in,

i think, it is something to the tune of puddle lights in the mirror housing - do you have those lights in outside mirrors? i think the rear footwell lights are part of that light option thingie... not 100% sure though...

nope no lights on mirror housings for me, the "puddle lights" you mean? Yeah I'm missing those, I thought those only came with the auto-dimming "electrochromatic" mirrors?

NINJA EDIT: Found the retrofit of rear footwell lights instructions, and part numbers on Real OEM, the connectors are under the rear carpet near where the lights would go, and there are cutouts for the housings.

Literally peel carpet back, mark cutout for light housings with utility knife, and pop the housings in the carpet, affix with 2 m6 plastic nuts on each side and plug lighting connector in each (you'll see the lighting connector when you peel back the carpet its right next to where they would go.

Easy peezy retrofit, here are part numbers for anyone who wants to do this mod to complete their interior lighting (all our X's are pre-wired and have the studs to affix the light housings under our carpet.

2 pcs footwell lights - 63316962035
4 pcs plastic nut - 16131176747

I got 42mm festoon LED for each light to match the rest of my interior LED
