Just installed the latest Hualingan Nav

I've heard mixed reviews.. but decided to pull the trigger....
I have a 03 x5 that was pretty stock (no DSP, Nav etc...)

I've heard most issues are with people that had the stock Nav, and/or DSP.. (not sure if its true)

But so far so good... I feel like the sound quality is better and not looking at broken pixels for once is great ! The bluetooth with the iphone works great.

The worse part was dealing with the plastic cage, I took apart almost the entire dash trying to find screws.. I gave up and just cut that thing out.

Here are some pics...

Cleared out the plastic cage....

Installed

Nighttime..

Do you have Piano black trim?? If so, would you consider swapping for my Light poplar wood trim, I even have a wood wrapped shift knob.

And if you still have stock CD player I would need that trim piece too. Let me know!

Yeah I did look into it and am absolute perfectionist, I got a quote from a place that does E90 trims and they said they would do mine in any BMW color for 300 bucks, which is quite reasonable once I saw the quality of their work. I am an absolute OCD perfectionist so I would probably not undertake painting the trim myself since I want it to be perfect...

Coming up with the extra 300 to put into the car is the problem though, with the house and other things needing money.

Nighttime...
I'm thinking about a Dynavin to replace the old 4:3 Nav.

Just bought this Eonon unit 7 mins ago. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121064663...84.m1438.l2649
Your unit looks heaps more OEM. Like you, I have been reasearching these aftermarket units for months. I chose the Eonon for its speed, interface and price. However, Im not overly excited about the looks. Im thinking I should have got the Hualingan unit looking at yours. I wouldnt waste my money on a Dynavin unit, they are sooooo slow.
PS, I looooove my Piano black trim too.
