Liftgate problem

Hello, when I press the button to open the liftgate (up), makes noise like a click, and open slightly without unlocking.
If I press the central locking button, or press the unlock key, the trunk opens and closes properly.
The lock has adjustment, our I need to replace ?

probably you need to check the connections in the pushbutton on the tailgate - there is a 4-pin connector... take the handle off (4 torx screws), clean the connector... if still not good, maybe it is time to buy a new handle...

This is for E53, right?

do you have a second person available? can you try to push the button inside the car (module A169), and the other person will try to lift the gate?...

If it is a one person operation, sometimes the airpressure from the driver's door being shut relatches the tailgate...

Ok, I will try.
If I push the the central lock, when I have the driver door open, the liftgate work fine, but i canīt open if I push the liftgate button.

This little problem has made me feel stupid many, many times. I don't use the liftgate button anymore.

Unfortunately not.
If the lock liftgate is not adjustable, I do not understand why does not work, since it works when I pull the manually release and the central lock. Is making me confused.
