just like mrbmw says, if your abs light, and brake light is on also this will most likely be your abs module. not 100% for sure thats what it is but its a start. best thing is to get your car scanned for codes to pinpoint problem. could just be a sensor.

There is BMW equipment that can communicate with your vehicle and tell you which module is registering the fault codes/warning light. This will point you in the correct direction instead of just replacing parts at random hoping that the problem gets solved.

And remember, the owners manual will also give you some directions with the explanation of what the warning light means...especially when there are no other symptoms that could mean that you're experiencing one of the more exasperating situations where the warning light doesn't necessarily mean that its the culprit (like odd and disparate electrical gremlins caused by low voltage).

And the DSC light can come on by itself or with other warning lights or in different colors...which indicates different fault conditions:

hey guys.. thank you soo much... well i went to a shop(this morning) which deals with bmw's... they did a diagnostic tests which cost me ($80)... a few things came up:

1. DSE-5EBo DSE: Steering-angle sensor, internal----Fault currently present
Steering-angle signal B3450_E83LEWI
2. VTG- 54C6 VTG: OIL WEAR- VALUE TOO HIGH- Fault currently present- fault would not cause warning light to appear----Transmission oil B2710_VGOEL
3. INSTRUMENT- BD IKE: Electronic braking- force distribution-
instrument cluster (IKE High) kom
4. Also my panorama glass sunroof isnt sliding...(knew that)...

well the shop said they have to troubleshoot the computer to pin point the problem with DSE... and the troubleshoot was going to cost me $305...

So now i dont know what to do or where to start...PLEASE HELP.....

Of the 4 faults you have listed...#1 & #3 are the ones related to, communicate with, and work in conjunction with your vehicles DSC system. Faults in the DBC (dynamic braking control) and the steering angle sensor could cause the DSC light to illuminate.

The steering wheel angle sensor communicates with the DSC system:
