Newbie questions

Hi:

Really enjoying all the things I am learning about my X( 2002 X5 4.4i), I get it tomorrow. Everyone on here is very helpful and knowledgable.Michelle particularly has been very helpful

A couple questions I hope you can help with

1) What are sport seats and what they fit in my X?
2) Would the M steering wheel fit my X even though I have the squared wheel
3) Are angeleyes from customangeleyes worth it?

Thanks again guys

nicknick

First of all, welcome! :welcome:

Sport seats are more adjustable than the standard seats. They offer a stiffer bucket shape and are able to keep you in place better during cornering. Not everyone likes them, but some people are die-hard over them.

You can only get sport seats if your X5 is equipped with the Sport Package. They are also retrofittable at an astronautical cost.

The M Steering Wheel can be retrofitted in your X5, but you will need to purchase a new round airbag since the current rectangular won't fit. That will however double your cost for this mod.

Adding angel eyes is a completely subjective thing. Some people like it, others like not to imitate the 2004+ X5s (I'm one of them). If an angel eyes kit is installed properly it has a very nice effect.

Thanks Bavarian

How do I tell if I have the sport package? She has a ski bag and DSP, does that help?

Good point on the angel eyes

Sounds like we have very similar X's Is the activity package same as the sport package?

:xoutpost: The square steering wheel is an indication, among other ones, that your X does not have the sport package. You can as many others have done, install the M3 or M5 steering wheel for that great feel.

I would have thought being up where you are a heated wheel retro would be nice. I did it for my wife and she just loves it on these cold NE mornings!
