Solaris Invisibulbs Vs. Sylvania Silverstar Signal

Over the past few days I installed angel eyes and cleared out the headlights on my 01 X5. Right now I have the factory front turn signal bulbs installed. Many people who have done this upgrade mention the Solaris Invisibulbs. Locally the only thing I find that is close are the Sylvania Silverstar Signal bulbs. Does anyone have any opinions on these. Also what is the difference between the Solaris Invisbulbs and the powder coated ones. At night as far as brightness I like the way the factory ones look, just don't want to see them in the daytime.

Solaris invisibulbs are a waste of money. I had them but took them off after a few weeks since they light up signicantly lesss bright than OEM bulbs. I was very disappointed. I would suggest you get these stealth bulbs from Bimmmerfreak. They're as bright as OEM.

I don't have any experience with the Solaris bulbs, but will second breytonx5's suggestion about bulbs from bimmerfreak. Good service, good product.

Thanks for the info. I was about to make the call to order the Invisibulbs and said let me check this thread one last time, and I am glad I did. Just ordered a set of the Stealth bulbs.

Email. The reply and assistance is very quick (less than a day in my experience).

From someone who has the Silverstars, they put off a good light, but the put off a slight bluish tint when not lit. I have them in my F150 Supercrew.

BMW does use the Sylvania Silverstars as OEM in their X3 since their signal lights have clear lenses....

Crevier BMW parts counter has a display of Sylvania Silverstars with all the right bulbs for the X5s....or give them a call (714) 835-3171.

Hey Will,
I also have a 2001 X5 and was looking to clear them out and install angel eyes..Just wondering what angel eyes you went with, and how did you go about installing them and clearing out the headlights, did you do it yourself or take it somewhere to get done...How much did you end up paying for entire mod, Angel eyes, Clearout, and install..also if you did yourself did you follow a thread that made it easy to do, if so which one/ones.
Mike
