Sorry, I don't, but does anyone know what happened to the OG Ricky Bobby? Great guy. Hasn't been around in a long time.

I currently have EvoXR projectors swapped into my Xenon OEM headlights motors swapped over as well. I have a dilemma, I have a scuff deep enough to warrant a lens replacement on the drivers side. I have replacement lens's coming shortly but I also have a set of DEPO's in pretty good shape.

Here's what i'm looking for an answer on.

Option 1) Does the DEPO lens have the clear reflector built into it where I can swap them over to my upgraded OEM units and call it a day? I really want the clear sidemarker lens but I REALLY don't want angel eyes. This would be the ideal situation. considering I love the performance of my headlights, just want to rid them of the amber corner & I do not want to just remove the amber part (break them off) since It looks odd to me.

Option 2) Take the DEPO lights, swap new projectors in (2.5 inch ones), swap shrouds with something nicer, might as well put the new lens on these, See if I can remove the angel eyes all together. Much more work

What do you guys think?
Hi,
An OG here😁
No problem in bumping an old thread. Doubt if you will find any more info in any other Forum. The OGs made the Forum forever 👍
I would love to help you but at a loss in trying to understand what you mean!
Have you checked carefully my posts 84 & 96 here? It shows Depo headlights all open and parts separated. Why not send us some photos of what you wanting to do?

Thank you and the forum for all your help! I'll try to continue carrying the torch as well :-). I did look at both your posts 84 & 96. It seems like, even though it isn't pictured, the depo headlight lens has the "clear" turn signal built into the physical lens. I'm looking to take the depo headlight's I have and remove the lens to swap onto my already upgraded OEM headlamps so that I have clear turn signals on the OEM headlamps.

Fórum is amazing and perfectly set up by its founders and one needs to take our hats off to them. Very intelligent guy, one a surgeon, the other with HP company. Forum practically runs itself, which is why 18+ years after you can still chat to an OG. Old guy in age (62)but still young in spirit and still fun to hang around with.. Ahahaha. O fail to accept that I am old and still behave like a younger person, much to the astonishment of the 45+ OG who have accepted they are old ahahah.
Back to the topic.. Yes, thd Depos do have a clear corner for the indicator, you can remove this and fit it to your OE lense cover. Alternatively you can remove you turn signal cover from your OE lenses and it looks pretty good. Some have the complete orange cover, the sport packet has half clear and half orange, I dremel the orange out and left the clear.. Let me know if you need any photos, I have tons.

Photos would be great! OK so I currently have the half orange half clear turn signals in my stock headlights. I can remove the lens & turn signal bucket from the depos, swap them into my OEM headlights & I have OEM pre lci clear turn signal headlights.

My headlights are horrendous, they don't light the road at all. I need to turn on the high beams to see anything.
Is there something decent available for pre lci xenon lights?
Are there any good?

Think those will look odd in your X5. The rings are too small.
Although your projector will give you good light output, especially
If you fit a led bulb, your main beam reflector is much smaller than OE
and less light output.
I understand why you sourced those headlights on Amazon. They are good value and I wasn't aware of how expensive X5 headlights are now compared to a few years back.
Doubled!!!!! Also, Depo headlights are hard to find, unless you buy them from Europe and that's that I would recommend...

I think these are non HID projectors, just halogen, so they won't work.

I ended up cleaning my oem Hella headlights with sylvania restoration kit and they actually look almost like new.
I replaced the hid bulbs and put Leds in high beams.
I'm curious to test them at night and see how they perform now.
